These days it seems like everyone is flocking to the internet. It’s no wonder. The internet reaches billions of people worldwide. It’s no longer a ‘miracle’ to talk to someone who is experiencing your tomorrow, while you are in their yesterday. It’s common place to have friends in other countries that you’ve never physically met. With all these things possible in our virtual world, it is imperative that you make a mark that will stand out among the billions of people out there. The best way to do that is with your own blog! Check out the benefits to owning your blog!

Internet Branding

Just like Coke, Pepsi, Wal-Mart, Target and any other major retailer have brands; you need to have a brand too. Owning your self-hosted blog allows you the flexibility to build the brand you want. You are able to express yourself and allow your personality to shine.

Design

With networks and replicated website, there is nothing to allow you to stand out among the rest. By hosting your own blog, you decide how you want your site to look. You can design your blog to your own liking. This goes along with branding as well. And… you can change your look whenever you get ready!

Content Control

When you own your own blog, you control the content. You control what gets displayed and how often your blog is updated. What’s more is that all the content you create is owned and maintained by you.

Revenue Generationsmall business blogging med 300x262 Benefits Of A Blog For Your Business

Starting out on a blogging network site such as Ning or sites that offer free hosting for blogs is OK. However, you don’t control any of the revenue generation. You can monetize your own self-hosted blog. You choose the products to promote and which ones will be featured on your blog. You get to keep 100% of the revenue generated.

Mindshare

Mindshare is when someone is able to easily remember you. You can do this with a domain name. You can choose your domain name with a self-hosted blog. You can choose www.yourname.com or something catchy that has to do with your niche. You want to avoid lengthy domain names so that the user can easily recall what it is.

Traffic Generation

With a static website, a user has look for you specifically. With a blog, you can rank on the search engines with keywords, thus generating more traffic from the search engines.
These are just a few benefits to owning a self-hosted blog. There are many more. Start enjoying the benefits today!

Five Steps to Improving Downline Performance

Five Steps to Improving Downline Performance

How To Improve The Performance Of Your Downline Five Steps to Improving Downline Performance

Now that you have a downline of your own, it’s your job to lead them. Your team won’t automatically know what to do, even with a beginner’s manual put in their hands. It’s up to you to coach them into becoming the successful business owners they aim to be.

Training

Successful network marketing is always a team effort. For your organization to be successful, they must possess the same skills you learned from your own upline. That means a lot of training!

Initially, you’ll want your downline to know these basic skills:

• Building a prospect list
Teach them to make a list of a hundred or more people they know, along with their contact numbers. The longer the list, the better.
Have them order these people according to priority (e.g. those with dependents, those with influence, those that are easy to approach).
• Approaching and inviting prospects
How to do phone invitations
Different ways of approaching a person face-to-face
• Presenting the business and its products
How to use visual aids and marketing material
Knowledge of all products and services
Knowledge of the business system
• Closing a prospect
Handling objections
Asking for the business
Asking for referrals

Showing, not telling, is the best way to teach a skill. Let your team see how you invite, present, and close. Let them sit in on your meetings. Schedule some time for simulating invitations and presentations. Then, let them do the presentations and give them feedback on what worked and what can be done better.

Monitoring

Always begin with the end in mind—that is, set a concrete, reasonable goal. It’s the only real way to tell if you’re getting anywhere with your business:

Goal + Plan + Action = Resultsactionpic 300x200 Five Steps to Improving Downline Performance

Start by setting a target for your team to reach. If some of your teammates declare that they want to have X amount of income in Y number of months, then you must work with them to formulate a plan on how to get there. For example, it may translate to contacting ten people and presenting five times in a week for a period of two months.

Once you have the plan in place, touch base with your active downline partners once or twice a week to make sure they are following their own plan. Track their performance and see if they hit their targets. It’s best if you can meet with them face-to-face on the first few weeks of working together.

Giving Feedback

It’s not enough to monitor your downlines progress—part of your job is to give them feedback on their performance, to keep them on track. This means two things:

• Acknowledging their efforts and successes.
• Coaching and motivating them when their performance goes down.

It helps to continually focus on the goal. If your team gets discouraged and is no longer following their plan, remind them of their commitment to their dreams and the purpose of working their business. If, on the other hand, they have been exceeding their targets, be sure to acknowledge their efforts and tell them that they are that much closer to achieving their goals!

Remember that your business partners are not machines. Like any person, they need to be motivated and to feel that they’re not swimming alone against the current. Do your best to bring up their morale.

Setting New Standards

Once your team has achieved their primary goals, congratulate them. Then encourage them to set higher ones. If they are doing five business calls a day, why not ten? If they are closing one person a week, why not set a goal to close two?

Continuous improvement is the key to any successful business. Keep the attitude of: “I did well; can I do better?” After all, all your teammates have big dreams: a mansion by the sea, a brand new sports car, a month-long cruise, a wealthy retirement, a lasting legacy, and so on. They won’t reach them if they settle for easy mediocre goals. They must be committed to stepping things up.

It’s up to you to encourage them to reach higher, so continually set higher targets for your business partners. Sitting on your laurels only deters them.

Teach them how to teach others

Now that your downline knows the very basics of your business and is moving on their own, your final task is to teach them the more advanced skills—that is, everything we just talked about! They must all know how to train, monitor, encourage, and coach their own recruits. After all, your personal goal is to duplicate yourself, so that you can leverage other people’s time and talents. Soon they’ll be leading their own groups, and they’ll need to know how to manage them the way you did. Show them how.

In network marketing, your team is your greatest asset, and they’re the key to a comfortable, stress-free future. Nurture them well and watch your business grow by leaps and bounds.

Why a blog is better than a website

Why a blog is better than a website

blogs will change your business 300x236 Why a blog is better than a website

Businesses have had websites for years. Now, more individuals are hosting their own ‘websites’, by having a blog. There are more than 17 million registered blogs, and more popping up daily. Here are 5 reasons having a blog is better than a website!

1. Blogs are easy to set up!

You can install a WordPress blog in merely minutes. You don’t have to be too technically savvy to get this done. You don’t have to worry about coding, and the core files are there for you. You can find ‘done for you designs’ called themes. There are tons of free ones! The WordPress dashboard is very user friendly. All you need to do is log in, add your content. It is very easy to manage your pages, categories, and comments. The blog platform does the technical work. You get to add your content and manage your site the way you want!

2. Reader interaction!

When someone visits your blog and has an opinion, they can share it through commenting. You’ll get to know frequent visitors, and respond to their comments. Those conversations can continue through comments or email. When you have comments on a particular topic, it makes other visitors stop to take notice of what’s going on at your blog! Encourage and welcome those comments!

3. Blogs are more Search Engine Friendly than websites.

When a blog is updated, the search engine bot will crawl your site to index your new content. With a blog, you have the ability to optimize your blog content. When you link your pages to each other, you give the search engine bot more options to crawl. This is especially helpful when targeting a specific keyword. You can install a plugin called ‘All In One SEO Pack’ to help with optimization. [option add SEO Pressor affiliate link]

4. Blogs are more popular on social media sites than websites.Business Blog image 300x210 Why a blog is better than a website

Because our sense of community has evolved with the internet, readers are more likely to share your best content on social media sites. Readers interact with bloggers. Bloggers also interact with other bloggers and syndicate (share) content they find valuable. It’s very easy to install various plugins that make it easy for your reader to share your content to their favorite social media site!

5. Readers can subscribe to blogs via RSS feed. RSS stands for ‘Real Simple Syndication’.

When a reader subscribes to your RSS feed, your content is delivered directly to their email. They are among the first to know when you have new content, and visit your site as a result. With a website, there is rarely new content and there is no reason for the visitor to visit the site on a regular basis.

6. Blogging helps with personal branding!

When you have a blog, you can shine in your niche by providing content relevant to your target audience. You will be viewed as an authority figure in your niche by the content and knowledge you provide. The more questions you answer, the more you will brand yourself as a leader. Post content regularly and optimize them so that they are easily found by the search engines.

7. You have complete control over your blog.

You control everything – the look, the content, the hosting, when it’s updated – EVERYTHING! You can update your blog whenever you get ready. You can add or takeaway at your will. With a website, you don’t have that kind of freedom.
Having a blog offers incredible flexibility that a website does not. If you’re ready to own your own piece of internet real estate, contact me here.

How To Convert Reluctant Prospects

How To Convert Reluctant Prospects

Ever met a prospect who flat out refuses to believe you? Do they simply contradict everything you say?

Here is a skill that may get them to see your side and agree with your point of view.

MontyPythonRunAway 300x207 How To Convert Reluctant Prospects

Keep pushing and you’ll push them away

Answering objections is a skill you’ll want to learn very early in network marketing. The trouble is, even the correct, accurate answer may not always get you what you want.

People can give objections like “network marketing is a pyramid scam,” or “only the people on top get to make money,” or “MLMs are illegal businesses” or “only people who already have big networks in place can get rich.” Just simply telling them the opposite thing may not work at all. You may win the argument but you can lose the customer.

Nobody likes to be wrong, and nobody likes to be proven wrong. When you push, they’ll push back. The harder you push someone to change their minds, the harder they’ll try to entrench themselves in their opinion. They may say, “I know I’m right because I know someone who lost a lot of money in MLM.”

So if they believe they’re right and you can’t get them to budge, do you just give up? Of course not! You can use the power of appreciation to get them to see you point of view.

Sincerely listen to their side

The first step in appreciation is find out where your prospect is coming from. To do this, you need to make less statements and ask more questions.

For example, if you client says that “your business is just a pyramid scam,” ask them, what do you mean by pyramid scam?” and “why do you say that my business is one?”

These questions are not meant to be asked defensively. You’ll want them to understand that you’re curious about what makes them think that way. You want to sincerely understand their side of the story. Saying things like “How do you mean?” or “Help me understand,” or “What makes you say that?” are all meant to probe your prospect’s emotions. This attitude allows them relax and put their guard down.

Sometimes when you ask someone to clarify their statement, they may see on their own that their opinion is unfounded or inaccurate (e.g. “it’s shaped exactly like a pyramid, so I thought it was a pyramid scheme). If you’re lucky, they may even decide to correct themselves all on their own.

But even if this doesn’t happen, you are still one step closer to an agreement.

Appreciate their point of viewpoint of view thumb12852172 200x300 How To Convert Reluctant Prospects

Here’s the key aspect of this approach and requires as much sincerity as when you were listening: simply acknowledge their point of view.

This does not mean you agree with them! It simply means you see the merit of their opinion, even if you don’t share it. Spoken truthfully, “I understand how you feel” is a very powerful statement. It means that you understood them, that their side made sense. People will feel that you respected their opinion, and this invites them to respect yours.

You can go further by stating that if you were in their shoes, you would probably feel the same way. For example:

“I understand how you feel. You dropped $500 into an MLM and didn’t get your money back. Losing your investment in any business is rough. If it happened to me, I’d feel the same way and wouldn’t give network marketing a second thought.”

Again, let the signal be clear: you sincerely understand their side. Once they see that, it’s easier for the two of you to agree on something.

Get them to appreciate you

Now you can move on with stating your side. Get them to see the merit of your point of view. One well-used formula is the feel, felt, found method.

“I understand how you feel. I once felt that I was terrible at sales and wouldn’t even be able to answer a single question the customer would throw at me. But I found that the company trains its downlines very well, and wouldn’t even let me do presentations until I was ready. Also, it was less about selling and more about sharing the benefits of the product with other people.”

You can restate the formula in any way you wish.

“I get what you’re saying. I was pretty much the same when I started. I thought only the people above me would get rich and I was going to wind up losing my investment. But I realized that they were personally interested in my development and were willing to help me get my organization going. They taught me everything I needed to know to be successful. Now I’m earning an extra $1,000 a week and I’ve been nothing but grateful.”

Because you didn’t undermine what your prospect said, they’ll find it easier to appreciate what you say. Mutual appreciation opens the door to agreement, and is one of the most efficient ways to close a prospect.

Your First 52 – How to Build a Good Prospect List

Your First 52 – How to Build a Good Prospect List

2224be85 d2e7 45ea a120 6e9a6cf422ff 300x224 Your First 52 – How to Build a Good Prospect List

In business, prospects are the source of your income and your organization’s members—no prospects and no members means no money. One of the first steps to network marketing is to build a list of people to approach.

Sounds daunting? Relax, you’re not approaching them yet! You’re just considering who you can talk to. So take out a sheet of paper, or open an excel file, and start making your list. Come up with 52 names from the following groups:

▪ Your relatives
▪ Your friends
▪ People you work with
▪ People you play sports with
▪ People you meet in church
▪ Neighbors
▪ Parents of your children’s friends or classmates
▪ Former classmates, co-workers
▪ Anyone else you can possibly approach

When making this list, you’ll feel tempted to edit it at once. You think things like, “This one’s too poor. This one’s too rich. This one’s too busy. This one already has a business,” and you’ll want to keep them off. Just list without prejudice. You can never tell what a person needs or wants, and each time you edit you may be removing someone who could be a valuable member in your organization.

The Four Aces

Why 52, you ask? Sound’s like an arbitrary number, doesn’t it? You may list more if you like. But it helps to think of these 52 as representing a standard deck of cards (excluding the Joker). if you have one handy, get it now so you can do this experiment.

There are four suits in a deck of cards, and each suit has an ace. Now, suppose you were to flip the cards face up, one at a time, scoring a point each time you get an ace. What are your chances of landing one? The answer, of course, is 1 out 13. Count the number of cards you have to go through before getting four points.

Now imagine that each ace you get corresponds to your leader, the person who will not only join your organization but will step up and make your business boom. Your chances of finding this person are also around 1 in 13, and it’s likely that you’ll go through many others to get to them.

What does that tell you? It makes sense not to expect you’ll find this person on the first sales call or invitation. If it happens, great! But if it doesn’t, just move on. There’s still other people to meet, and you may even go through four, six, even 12 other people before finding the right one.

Take heart. In the long run, invitation is still a numbers game. Do it long enough, and you’ll find your four aces without fail.

Who’s First?cheap mlm leads 300x225 Your First 52 – How to Build a Good Prospect List

So now you have a list of 52 people whom you know and who know you. You can start calling them alphabetically, if you like. But if you want your business off the ground fast, you ought to prioritize the people who are ready now, more than some of the others. Here’s a simple technique to help you do that.

First, go through your list and draw a star next to the names of the people who are married, have kids, caring for their elderly, or otherwise have dependents.

Second, go through your list again and pick out the names of people whom you have good relations with—best friends, favorite siblings or cousins, people whom you’ve helped, etc. Put a check mark next to their names.

Finally, go through your list once more and look for people in positions of influence. Managers, church leaders, speakers, CEOs, club presidents—anyone who’s in charge of a group. Put a triangle next to their names.

So, who do you prioritize now? Those names with the complete set of stars, checks, and triangles!
Why? Because they’re the ones who will most likely have good reasons to make more income (stars), will likely want to be in business with you (checks), and have the means to attract others to your organization (triangles).

Once you’ve finished, move on to the ones with two kinds of marks. Then on to the ones with one kind. Then finally, those that have none. Don’t discount these last few people, as they may have their own reasons and resources you don’t know about.

This simple system will save you time in inviting people and get your organization on a fast start. Once you’ve finished going through these names, you may draw up another one and do the same thing over. More importantly, you should teach it to your downlines too.

So, do you have your 52? Then start looking for those aces!

Why Your Greatest “Why” Matters

Motivation: Why Your Greatest “Why” Matters

what is your why 300x200 Why Your Greatest “Why” Matters

If you’re just getting started in network marketing and want to guarantee your success, here are a few questions you need to ask yourself:

• What’s the single biggest asset you can have on your side when building your business? (Take a minute to consider this)

• Is it a good starting capital?

• Is it a large existing network of friends?

• Is it a lot of time on your hands?

If someone were to say “I have a great opportunity here that can make you rich!” what would you ask them?

An overwhelming majority will ask the question “what”.

“What do I need to do?”

“What do I have to invest?”

“What do I stand to lose?”

About half the people asked may also respond with the question “how”.

“How will I succeed?”

“How will I leverage my time and money?”

“How can I maximize this opportunity?”

But precious few, perhaps one in ten, will ask the most vital question of all: “why”.

“Why do I want to do this business?”

“Why do I want to be rich?”

“Why do I want to be financially free?”

In network marketing, work will create only 10% of your success. The other 90% will rely on your why. That’s because your why is what’s going to move you to do everything necessary to make the business successful.

As the great millionaire John D. Rockefeller once said, “Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one’s aim.”

Anyone can have the money, the time, and the network, but if they don’t have a compelling reason to grow their business, then they can’t generate the will to work and maximize what they have. On the other hand, a person can have none of these resources, but with a great “why,” they’ll move heaven and earth to accomplish their dreams.

So before you embark on building and growing your MLM, or on any kind of business, ask yourself: what’s your greatest why? Why start the business at all? What end do you have in mind?why so serious the joker 3122768 1024 768 300x225 Why Your Greatest “Why” Matters

Is it to buy the house of your dreams?

Is it to get that private jet you’ve always wanted?

Is it to acquire jewelry, a Jacuzzi, a Jaguar?

Or is it something deeper?

Is it so that you can send the kids, yours or someone else’s, to the best schools available? Is it to support your parents so they can retire in style? Is it to shoulder the medical bills of a sick relative? Is it to build your family a fortune that would last through generations?

Or perhaps it has to deal with you personally. Do you want to have time freedom? To work only because you want to, not because you have to? To never worry about money again for the rest of your days?

All these are worthy dreams. Find out which of them are yours and list them down.

Better yet, cut out some pictures and post them on a tack board, a scrapbook, or even your own wall. Put it anywhere that you can see them everyday. And each time you feel disheartened, when you feel that everyone’s ignoring you and that you’ll never see the end of a long, soul-sucking day, look at those pictures and remind yourself why you’re in this business.

Let your biggest why be your greatest source of strength.

Why You Should Never Discriminate When Prospecting For MLM

diversity Stop Discrimination Now 242x300 Why You Should Never Discriminate When Prospecting For MLM

When it comes to recruiting, it pays to NEVER discriminate. I don’t mean that by anything but this…you NEVER can prejudge who you think will or will not make a great team member! Just to shed some light on real life scenarios that often occur, I want to share a few of my experiences with you to show you what I mean.

In the world of Network Marketing, there are always examples around you to show you what you should and should not do. After carefully watching and listening in to people’s stories about their recruiting experiences, I’ve come to observe a lot of interesting things about pre-judging people too far in advance, before they join your business.

That Dude With The Tattoos Who Looks Like A Biker Might Be Your Biggest Producer

First, I’ve seen team members get SUPER excited about someone who they think is going to be the “next big thing”. They came over from another company and they are going to bring in 50 people from that company and take the area by storm!! And then, not too long afterwards, they fizzle. No one joins them and no one came along with them from their previous company. It becomes blatantly obvious that they’re a dud, and not too long afterwards, like the magician Whodini, they disappear into thin air, with all of their shoulda, coulda woulda’s trailing behind them.donald trump and senior with the custom chopper ifpyx 300x292 Why You Should Never Discriminate When Prospecting For MLM

However, I’ve also seen the total opposite happen. I’ve seen team members start off very laid-back in following up with potential recruits because they didn’t think they were “really going to make it”. I’ve seen that potential recruit get frustrated at the lack of follow up, join under another person and pass the first person up in sales, recruiting and leadership.

There have also been times when I’ve witnessed someone “passing” on a recruit. The recruit wasn’t a huge performer, and she may not have had the “it” factor. But she did recruit 2 people…and one of those people went on to become a national year-end sales winner. The person who didn’t pass on the initial recruit made a good bonus while the one who passed on the “unattractive prospect” continued to live through his career with regret.

What If Someone Didn’t See You As A Person Of Interest…Would You Be Where You Are Now?

The bottom line is this, “Those you think will, won’t. And those you think won’t, will!”. This industry can be very tricky and it’s often challenging to determine who’s going to be a producer versus those that will simply become a number. Either way, the best thing you can do is talk to practically everyone you know. From your church, to the parents at your children’s school, family, friends, neighbors, lawyers, post office workers, teachers, doctors, accountants, stay at home moms, and the list goes on and on and on, with people you should share the business with.

Never underestimate someone because of his or her current “income status” or their profession. Inside each of us is a dream that is lying dormant, and waiting for someone to come and help bring it to life. You never know whom you can unlock from life’s miseries and struggles, and those whom you can empower by believing in them enough to present them with this amazing opportunity.

The best thing you can do is present them with the opportunity, and let them decide if they want to move forward or not. Once you open the doors, you have no idea who you’re letting in, and the potential they will have to bring massive success to your organization, while you get the chance to embrace the experience of seeing their lives changed.

WHO is a MLM Prospect?

WHO is a MLM Prospect?

Distributors wanted WHO is a MLM Prospect?

When you are looking to recruit someone to your team, you need to know WHO an ideal prospect is, and what to look for when searching for them? In a nutshell, a prospect is someone who could benefit from the opportunity that your company provides. Your goal is to 1) find out if they could benefit from the opportunity and 2) let them know about the opportunity.

Think about this very carefully. As you go through each day and you are looking for prospects, you are looking for someone who has a problem that your company can provide a solution for.

So who is someone who could benefit from what you have to offer?

Generally it is someone who might be looking for:

- Additional Income
– Flexibility
– Security
– Different Lifestyle
– Vacations
– _____(Insert your company benefits here!)

Your company may have certain nutritional benefits, or legal benefits that may be of particular interest to certain people. Whatever that list of benefits is…commit them to memory. That list is something that will be a catalyst for you.

When you hear someone who mentions ANY of those buzz words, it should send bells ringing! They are a prospect. They can benefit from what your company has to offer!

Exposing Them To The Solutionmlm prospects 300x195 WHO is a MLM Prospect?

Now that you’ve found someone who can benefit, the next piece of the puzzle is to let them know about the opportunity your company has. This is your opportunity to say:

“I couldn’t help but to hear that you are looking for ______. I know exactly how you feel!! I felt the same way about six months ago! I found a great opportunity to change that when I started my business with _______. Can I give you some information about them?”

With this simple statement you have let them know that you heard their “issue”. You/your Company has a benefit that can solve it through the opportunity they provide. And, you have connected with a prospect.

You will find that almost everyone is a prospect. And if they aren’t, they generally know someone who is! The key is to keep your ears open. And then don’t be afraid to open your mouth shortly afterwards! Nothing is worse then KNOWING someone is a prospect…and then watch them walk away in the opposite direction because you were too stifled to do something about it!

Potential Teammate #1: Excellent People Skills

Network Marketing is a people business, right? Therefore, it makes perfect sense that you find a teammate who loves interacting with others. An ideal business partner will be someone who can mingle with people from all walks of life. Their presence and bubbly personality should light up a room; not suck the energy out of it. Below are their known qualities:

• Outgoing and easy to talk with
• Articulate and can handle conversations very well
• Don’t shy away from others; they love to be around lots of people
• Can easily establish trust and confidence from prospects

Potential Teammate #2: Willing to be coached

A potential teammate is someone who is willing to be coached by other mentors. They are always open to learn fresh insights and new techniques to improve their performance and productivity.

These people are willing to become a student to leaders and players in the industry. They can be easily trained and mentored. No matter what type of profession they have, they are eager to be taught the skills and the system needed to provide them the results that they are looking for.

Potential Teammate #3: Dedicated and committed to the business

If you’re a dedicated and committed network marketer, it’s just right that you find someone who possesses the same qualities as yours.

You’re looking at a business model that requires a strong work ethic to succeed. So seek a business partner who has a real passion for the business and is willing to take consistent actions needed to realize their success.

Potential Teammate #4: A person of value

Greatest Teammates in NBA history!

A potential teammate and effective business partner is someone who can package oneself into a trusted and respected figure in the industry. He/She should be able to offer valuable information to other people; someone who can identify the needs of his/her prospects and provides relevant solutions. He/She should be someone who can live up to his/her own words. In other words, your qualified teammate will always do what he/she says they’ll do.

Potential Teammate #5: Strong leadership skills

One way or the other, you’ll see your network grow, making it hard for you to guide each and every member in your organization. In order to do this, you have to find teammates who possess strong leadership skills; an authority figure that people can look up to and approach for help.

Look for that person who can navigate the network in the right direction. He should be someone who can supply quality teaching and trainings, provide feedback and constructive criticism, and offer unquestionable support to the organization.

The above-mentioned traits may be very hard to find. Heck, you may not even find one person with all these qualities in a sea full of people. So what you really need to do is look for qualified teammates whom you can hone to possess each of these skills. It’s going to be a difficult task. But with all of your patience, determination, and leadership, you can watch your efforts pay off.

Why You Need Catch Up Calls With Your Team

Why You Need Catch Up Calls With Your Team

They are called different things within different organizations, but a catch up call is a chance to check in with the members of your team and see how they are doing with their business. They are VITAL to keeping your business strong.

As a leader, attrition is one thing that can cripple your business. Attrition is inevitable, and you need to be prepared for a certain percentage to happen. But if an unexpected amount happens, it can affect you meeting your minimums which can affect leadership levels, contests, and ultimately, your income.

The best way to avoid this is to have your finger on the pulse of your team. You need to know what they are doing, what their goals are, and if anything has changed in their business. Best of all, you need to know how you can help them and they need to know that you care about their business.

It is best if these calls are scheduled so you both know when they will occur. 15-20 minutes is usually enough. If someone has a more serious issue, you can schedule another time to talk separately.

You should be asking questions like:

• “Where are you with your monthly goals?”
• “What are your goals for the upcoming month?”
• “Have there been any changes in your business?”
• And most importantly…”What can I most help you with in your business”.

If it’s something you can answer over the phone…great. If it’s something you need to get back to them on, give them a specific date that you will have an answer for them by…and make sure you meet the deadline.

Having regular catch up calls will keep the lines of communication open with your team and hopefully avoid any shocking news at the end of a month!
