We think that we will be HAPPY if we have more money, more freedom, a bigger house, a fancier car, luxurious vacations, fame, or whatever it is that you desire to have. In the end, we all want one thing… to be happy. SO, BE HAPPY! It’s a choice. You’ll understand this as you improve your mind, and watch as your life improves.

We all, in fact, create our own reality according to our thoughts, emotions and beliefs. You may have heard this before, but it will not resonate with you until you take a close look at your life in correlation to your dominant thoughts and habitual feelings. If you are courageous enough to look closely, you will notice that your life is a mirror image to your dominant thoughts, because they are inseparable.

We all practice thought patterns on an unconscious level, and the byproducts of thoughts are emotions and feelings in our physical bodies. Therefore, if we are practicing negative thought patterns on autopilot, then we are automatically in a habitual state of unease, unhappiness and living unfulfilled lives.

The moment we take responsibility for our lives as our own creation, that is the beginning of transformation from our limiting beliefs. Appreciate each step that you will take on this transformation journey, because appreciation breeds a positive mental state.

It takes deliberate work to break limiting beliefs and old thought patterns, which is why most people never do. The journey into self awareness will deliver you on an unmistakable path of not only identifying your thought patterns, but also acknowledging the effects that they bring into your physical existence.

There are four key steps that are necessary for us to take in order to break our limiting beliefs. It is recommended that once you lay it out for yourself in written form, that you revisit it often and adjust as needed.

Step 1: Identify The Problem

What specific event in your life is causing you to feel negative emotion? (Anger, fear, resentment, sadness, etc.) Be specific.

Step 2: Acknowledge Your Thoughts and Beliefs About This Problem

What do you think about the situation? Is it frustrating? Are you upset? Are you angry or fearful?
How is this problem opposite from how you want things to be? Really acknowledge what you THINK about the situation.

Step 3: Byproducts of Your Beliefslimiting beliefs1 Break Limiting Beliefs Once and For All

What emotions do you feel from these beliefs and thoughts? What type of action do you take as a result of these emotions? How do you feel from these emotions, beliefs, thoughts and actions?

So from here we have acknowledged the problem, identified the beliefs and thoughts about the problem, and discovered the negative emotions that harm your well-being. Although the beliefs, thoughts, emotions and actions may be justifiable in your case, that is not the objective. We are not looking to justify our current condition! We are looking to improve it! Therefore, let’s move onto step four…

Step 4: Ditch & Decide

Ditching the thoughts and actions that are bringing harm to you takes practice. Simply asking yourself one question like “Does it make me feel happy and healthy to keep thinking these thoughts and taking these actions?” will set you on the right path in order to let it go, and decide to think better, and to feel better.

Remember that beliefs are only thoughts that we keep thinking, so we must make a habit of thinking along better patterns of thought.

Many factors add up to a successful presentation, and one of the most overlooked is choosing the right place to do it. Would you present just anywhere? How would that help you?

It only makes sense to pick a place that gives you the advantage, a venue that enhances your credibility and leaves a good and lasting impression on your audience.

These are some tips to keep in mind when looking for that location.

Choose a venue you know

This simple strategy is an effective time-saver. For one, you can gauge more or less the amount of time you need to get there. For another, you also know where everything is—the restrooms, the power sockets, the projector screen, the air-conditioner controls, and so on. You won’t have to interrupt your own presentation to look for these things when you need them.

Just be sure to choose a place that your client knows as well! It would be pretty embarrassing if they’re late because they had a hard time finding your venue.

If you must present in an unfamiliar place, be sure to arrive extra early to check that everything’s in order. It’s also wise to have a back-up venue nearby in case of problems when your original location becomes unavailable.

You’ll want your prospect to focus on what you’re saying when you’re saying it—and nothing else. Choose a quiet, relaxing spot away from crowds and loud music. That rules out nightclubs, sports events, movie houses, and birthday parties.

Also avoid places that have potential distractions. Your prospect’s home or office may spell trouble for your presentation because co-workers, children, or even pets can interrupt you just as you’re hitting your stride. Imagine being in the middle of your spiel when your prospect’s secretary barges in with a call for an urgent meeting—NOW. Where would that leave your pitch?

Choose a location that speaks well of your business

Pick a bright, airy place that gives you a happy, contented feeling. These places relax your client and make them more agreeable. Also, pick a location that distinguishes you as a wealthy, successful person. A country club, a classy restaurant, a fancy hotel lobby, or a posh meeting room with a great view are all excellent places—they send the signal that you’re someone to be taken seriously. Avoid gloomy, poor-lit places filled with cigarette smoke or surly folk. You don’t want the impression that you’re proposing something illegal or dangerous.

Given the above tips, one of the best places to present may actually be your network marketing companys own headquarters. This gives you the home-court advantage—not only can you use the venue for free, you can also use whatever presentation materials they have available. It also shows that your company is an existing and legitimate business.

Finally, you can ask for support from your co-members or even the company leaders in case your prospect has some questions you can’t answer. On your home turf, you’re in control.

If your prospect is unable to come to your headquarters or its satellite offices, at least choose a neutral meeting place, like a quiet coffee shop or restaurant. By going to their home or office, you’re giving them the advantage you should have given yourself.

Your choice of venue affects the outcome of your presentation, so choose well!

Promotional flyers are a practical form of business publicity especially if your budget doesn’t allow for expensive advertising. It’s also a great way to target a large scale of customers in a single area.

What you have to do is design interesting and appealing flyers that can catch a potential customer’s attention at a single glimpse. Write a headline that can serve as a winning sales pitch like:

“Tired of ineffective beauty products that offer false promises? Want to get your money’s worth? Try ours and get a money-back guarantee!”

You can also include this phrase to add effect:

“Visit our shop and present this flyer to get a FREE facial.”

Last but not least, place your contact info (name, phone number, address, e-mail, and website) at the bottom of the flyer. 1. Get your prospects to chase you.

The first thing you need to do is to get the prospects to chase you and not the other way around. How? By finding the niche that the product or service you offer caters to, and pursue that target market.

Do you think you can sell meat to vegetarians?

Absolutely Not!

No matter how many times you try to convince a vegetarian about how tender your steak is, they won’t buy it and have no interest in what you have to say about it.

All you’ll ever get is rejection because you’re targeting the wrong people.

Building A Lego Castle For Your Business

Most People has passions in their life.

Some people knit, some people build things, some people build or rebuild cars, some people write, some people play music, and some people build intricate stuff with Legos.

I am the kind of guy who builds big Lego stuff.

I love creating something piece by piece with Legos. I love watching it take shape, watching it be built, and knowing what it will look like when I am finished. But having done it for as long as I have and having created as many as I have I know that I must have in mind what the finished project will be. You can’t just start putting Legos together and hope it looks like something when you are done. You have to follow a blue-print. You have to follow a plan. You have to be willing to follow your blueprint and follow you plan for a long time to get the finished piece of hundreds of individual Legos put together.

 

Doing a business is very much the same way. You have to know where you want to go before you start going in order to make sure the finished project turns out the way you wanted it to.

Don’t get me wrong, starting is very important. You don’t want to just sit and wait, but you also don’t want to jump in and have no idea what you are going to do or how long you will keep doing it. With Legos, the instructions come with the Legos…but in business you have to create the blueprint for yourself….OR you follow the blueprint of someone who has already done it and succeeded with it.

Luckily I have had great Mentors like Rob Forre, David Wood, and David Sharp (just to name a few) who have given me a blueprint that has not only worked for them, but also other who have followed and succeeded with the same blueprint.

Since you are reading this, I want to be able to hand over the blueprint to you so you can follow it and create the Lego masterpiece that is your new business life…for yourself.

I don’t prospect.

I don’t use the phone.

I don’t do 3way calls.

I don’t do home parties.

I don’t chase my friends. Or my family.

I don’t make lists of people I know.

I don’t put flyers on cars.

I don’t leave business cards on urinals in bathrooms.

NONE of it is necessary to make a lot of money from home. And if someone tells you that it is…..they’re stuck in the 1980s.

Does that stuff work? Sure. Sometimes. And a lot of times it doesn’t.

In most cases, people burn out and flake out before they get any success.

The good news is that making a large income from home has never been easier.

When I stopped prospecting, my income jumped through the roof.

Why? Because it’s ridiculously easy to get 50-150 people per day asking for information on your business. Or more.

But, if you’ve got 100 people per day asking for information on your business…..and you have to spend even TEN minutes talking to each of them….

…you’d be on the phone over 16 hours per day…

Network marketers like to talk about “leverage”….but most of them only have leverage in the pay-plan…..but NOT in their work methods. They’re still trading time for money when it comes to personal productivity.

And you can’t get rich if you have to show up in order to make money. Or, if you do, it’ll take you 100X longer than someone else who’s got actual leverage in their work methods.

If your knee-jerk reaction is to disagree with this…..stop and look at why you disagree. Because whatever thought process is there is what’s keeping you stuck only enrolling 2-5 people per month in your business.

If you want to find out how you can enroll 2-5 people every DAY in your business….it’s not nearly as hard as you think.

One of the things I love about Empower Network is that we do these “public masterminds”…..where we get top leaders together and just ‘rap’ about whatever is happening in our business….

If I had been able to attend masterminds like this when I got started in this profession, it would have taken YEARS off my learning curve….

It’s possible that some look at the public image of Empower Network and say, “Hmm…that’s not very professional.”

To which I reply…..”So?”

It’s true our founders don’t wear suits.

We use phrases like “Don’t be a wussy” and “release your inner bad ass”.

And we have no qualms about telling people what they NEED to hear instead of what they WANT to hear.

In other words, it’s not about being “professional” or “proper”.

It’s about providing people an arena in which they can accomplish a few things:

1. Make a ridiculous amount of money by following cutting edge online marketing techniques

2. Be part of a community that takes a stand for people’s greatness and invalidates the “wussy” excuses that have kept most people stuck in life

3. And provides a forum where people can just BE THEMSELVES instead of feeling like they have to conform to someone else’s expectations in order to be accepted or viewed as “normal”.

It’s about being authentic.

We have people on our stage who wear shorts and sandals.
And we have people who wear suits and ties (not many).
We have people who say “bad ass” on stage.
We have people who thank the Lord Jesus Christ for their success.
We have gays and straights.
Blacks and whites and Asians.
Protestants and Catholics and Hindus and Muslims.
We have doctors and lawyers….and we have auto-mechanics and farmers.

This is about the masses….not the classes. And we’re very open and candid about that.

And while we’ll always have our share of haters for not being as “corporate” as they think we’re supposed to be….

…at the end of the day, it’s about The PEOPLE….and RESULTS.

And the people that don’t get that…..

….well, they just need to stop being a wussy and unleash their inner bad-ass. :

I find that one of the hardest things networks marketers struggle with most is talking about their business. There’s the perception out there that Network Marketers are the types of people that will ONLY talk to you about their product/service/opportunity. That may be true of some people! But this perception has scared many network marketers out of talking about their business at all. They don’t want to be seen as “that person”.

A great strategy in growing your Network Marketing business is learning how to “slip in” your business during ordinary conversations. The idea is not to be “tricky” about it, but to develop a natural conversation that can lead to you talking to someone more about your business. The caveat is to make THEM ask YOU more about it! It makes you feel better when you dangle a little something out there…a teaser…and someone says, “what is your business” or “tell me more”. Having permission feels great!!

So, how do you slip in your business into an ordinary conversation? You look for opportunities to talk to people…usually people you don’t know…to bring up a teaser about your business and have them ask more.

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

1. You’re at the office supply store getting business supplies and the woman in front of you has something unique. You say, “Where did you find that, that would be awesome for my business!” She will usually tell you and then say “what is your business”. Trust me…I’ve done it MANY times! Make sure you have a brochure or business card handy to give once you tell her!

2. You’re at the coffee shop and strike up a conversation with someone about the weather and say, “I’m just so glad to get out of the house! I’ve been working at home for 3 days straight and just need a BREAK! I think I’ll drink this out in the sunshine and soak it in before I hit the computer/phones again”. 3. If you have traveled for your business lately for a convention or training of any kind, make SURE you slip that into a conversation with a clerk or someone in line at the store or even beside you as you are looking at clothes. Something like, “oh, I wish I would have had that on my business trip to Chicago!” It gets a conversation going about where you went, and then WHY.

4. While not QUITE the same, try this as well. If you are at the park or a playland of a fast food restaurant with your kids, see who’s sitting there looking bored. At the BEGINNING of your visit (because you want to leave time for conversation) just walk over and say, “I know what it’s like just sitting here for a while! I thought I’d give you a catalog to look over while you’re here! You’re welcome to keep it if you’d like!” It’s a great way to get your product catalog in the hands of someone…and invite further conversation while you are there with your kids. I’ve seen it do WONDERS!

Once they ask you a question, it leads to more questions.

People are naturally curious. ESPECIALLY about people who a) have their own businesses b) work from home c) travel for their business and d) seem to ENJOY what they do.

If you have a positive attitude about your business, people will be curious and the conversation becomes them asking you more. What a great way for you to tell them more!

So don’t be afraid to be “that” MLM person. Just be friendly and personable. Let the opportunity to talk about your business come in to your conversation (plant it!) and when someone asks, be willing to tell them more!

Business cards

You should have a good stack of business card with you in your purse/wallet. When you pay for a check, leave your card behind. If you are in a bookstore, leave your card in a book you’ve been looking at. If you walk in to someplace and see business cards posted, put yours right along with them.

Catalogs/brochures

Any time you are waiting in a service environment, you have time on your hands. So does everyone else. Leave something for them to read. If you are in a doctor’s office, tire shop, car wash, etc, leave behind a catalog or brochure for the next person behind you to read.

You need to have your eyes peeled for every opportunity. There are community boards that allow flyers to be posted for businesses. If you belong to a company that has any kind of samples, package them in a clear plastic bag with a label that has your name and email/phone number. Any place you go, leave it with a receptionist or desk person as a thank you. You’ll score extra points and leave a footprint at the same time.

As you keep this footprint mindset, think of ways that you can leave behind SOME piece of your business EVERY time you leave the house. Make sure you have plenty of materials in your car and in your purse or briefcase. Soon, your footprint will be stamped firmly in your community.
